Jessica Alba

At the recent Met Gala, the fashion world was in awe as one of our favourite designers, Louis Vuitton, honoured the women of the LGBT community with a special collection entitled “In the Pink’.’

The designer showcased a stunning array of feminine costumes made entirely from mesh fabrics, which provide the perfect fashionable contrast to the unique beauty products each woman is sporting. The perfect marriage of fashion and beauty, we couldn’t think of a better way to celebrate Pride!

Gisele Bundchen

Another stunning creation from Louis Vuitton is that of Gisele Bundchen. The designer recreated the legendary dress that the fashion icon wore at the 2004 Met Gala, using a modern yet retro twist. The designer collaborated with Italian fashion house, Dsquared2 to create an elegant outfit for the fashion icon. As one of the most accomplished women in the world, Gisele wears her power beautifully. What do you think of this outfit? Let us know in the comments below.

Charlotte Casiraghi

Speaking of powerful women, Charlotte Casiraghi is the youngest daughter of Diana, Princess of Wales, and her Italian husband, Alain le Poncher. We first discovered the design team behind Charlotte Casiraghi when they recreated a scene from the designer’s couture wedding dress using a 3D printer. Since then, we’ve been eagerly awaiting their next project as their designs are always something special. This time, we were treated to a recreation of Charlotte’s iconic dress from the 2009 Met Gala, in which she wore a dress designed by her mother, Diana, Princess of Wales.

The design team used a mix of silk, lace, tulle and organza for the outer layer of the dress, while their mother’s creations – the tiara and necklace – were made using 18 karat gold. As a result, the outfit is extremely light yet extremely luxurious, which makes it the ideal choice for the most important night of a female’s life. What do you think of this stunning ensemble? Madame Claude

Madame Claude is the pseudonym of a prominent French designer, who often works with sportswear brand, Nike. This time, we were treated to a recreation of the designer’s spring 2018 couture collection, which is a perfect mix of sport and elegance. The outfit pays tribute to the iconic Blue Train, which was worn by Jackie Kennedy on her historic voyage to Italy, where she met with President Roosevelt. The designer used a vibrant colour palette of fuchsia, navy, olive green and white to create a fresh new look for the famous train.

We couldn’t resist the combination of sport and fashion in one outfit, and we’re sure the fashion world didn’t either. What do you think of this exquisite recreation of one of the most beloved outfits from recent history? Let us know in the comments below.

Karen Elson

Karen Elson is a British fashion journalist and stylist whose work has appeared in publications such as British Vogue and Marie Claire. Known for her distinctive tattoos and piercing, which include studs in her tongue, Elson has been described as an “explicit fashion persona” and a “rebel princess”. Her outfits are always on point, and this time, she recreated a scene from the 1957 Met Gala, where she wore a stunning pink gown designed by Christian Dior.

According to legend, Christian Dior created the dress for Queen Elizabeth II’s daughter, Princess Marina, but she turned it down, saying that she didn’t feel feminine enough to wear it. Despite the initial discouragement, Princess Marina ended up wearing the dress two years later at the Met Gala. When asked about her reluctance to wear the dress, Marina said, “I was never comfortable in my own skin, and this dress reminded me of how I felt when I was a little girl and didn’t understand what all the fuss was about.” Do you think Elson looks cool as a cucumber in this dress? Lady Gaga

One of the most memorable dresses at the 2014 Met Gala was Lady Gaga’s recreation of the Mao Mao dress, which she wore to a Chinese New Year’s party in London. The design team used their collective ingenuity to create an outfit that consisted of little more than a white dress with red trim and an infinity scarf. The dress was so memorable for Gaga that she recreated it for the 2016 Met Gala, where she also recreated another one of her famous outfits, the meat dress.

The designer has since recreated the outfit on numerous occasions, which is no accident. As Gaga said during an interview: “It’s such an iconic look that I think about it even when I’m not wearing it. It’s like breathing. It’s my default uniform.” What do you think of these magnificent recreations of some of the most memorable dresses from Lady Gaga’s incredible catalogue? Let us know in the comments below.

One of the things that make these dresses so remarkable is that they’re completely custom made. No two are ever going to look exactly alike, which is something to celebrate. It’s not everyday that you get to witness history in the making. These designers went above and beyond in their efforts to make these dresses as identical as possible, which is evident from both their craftsmanship and the level of detail that they were able to incorporate into their designs. It’s almost as if they were competing to see who could create the best-looking dress.

As these dresses are one of a kind, it’s really important to cherish and protect them. The fashion world would lose a great deal if these unique pieces of clothing were to go to waste. Make sure that you wear them often so that they don’t go out of fashion. What you think of these historical dresses? Let us know in the comments below.
