Aria Giovanni

Aria Giovanni is a luxury hotel located in Milan, Italy. The hotel offers an exclusive art collection featuring well-known Italian and international artists. Guests can enjoy a unique collection of artwork in their rooms and throughout the hotel. It is a combination of traditional and modern Italian design, combining both past and present.

A grand piano in room 106 has been a symbol of the hotel since it was built in 1934. In addition, the hotel’s original Art Deco furniture still sets the tone for the overall ambience. Most recently, the hotel expanded its collection with an Andy Warhol piece, which now adorns the entranceway.

Luxury Hotel

Aria Giovanni is located in Milan’s Quadrado district, close to the Duomo, the town’s landmark cathedral.

The hotel’s design team drew a parallel between the building’s interiors and its exteriors, referencing the city’s art deco and industrial design in the process. They utilized soft grays and whites, as well as touches of green, on both surfaces in order to create a sense of calm and serenity. In general, the colour scheme promotes a feeling of lightness and spaciousness that is enhanced by the use of natural materials such as wood and marble, as well as large glass windows, uninterrupted views of the city, and large, comfortable beds with high, fluffy duvet swaddles. Lastly, throughout the hotel’s public areas the use of leather and wood give a sense of luxury and comfort.

Art Collection

The hotel’s art collection is one of a kind, featuring original pieces by well-known Italian and international artists, such as Andy Warhol, Leonardo Da Vinci, and more.

The hotel’s art curator Giuseppe Vettoretti purchased the collection piece by piece over a period of 10 years, beginning in 2004. Most of the artwork on display was designed for use in specific locations in the hotel, such as the lobby area and room interiors. In other cases, the pieces were acquired for the purpose of creating an overall impression or ambiance in the building. In either case, guests can enjoy a unique glimpse into Italian and international design.

Guest Rooms

Each of the hotel’s 52 guest rooms features original artwork by a different artist. The majority of the pieces were drawn with a view to enhancing the guest’s experience in some way, whether it is a feeling of luxury or a sense of nostalgia, for example.

A spacious walk-in closet can be found in each room, while bathrooms come with a free-standing bathtub and a Walk-in shower. For those who adore a good book, the hotel offers an iPad and a copy of the New York Times delivered to the guest’s door. In addition, some of the rooms come with a small fridge and a selection of snacks and bottled drinks. One of the more unique amenities at Aria Giovanni is the in-room, personal masseuse who is available by phone.

A Special Place To Reunite

A special place to reunite for some well-deserved R&R is the hotel’s Presidential Suite. It is the ultimate in comfort and relaxation, featuring a large walk-in closet, a fully equipped fitness room, a fully stocked kitchen, a dining area, a sitting area with a grand piano, and a private pool with whirlpool and sun loungers. In addition, the suite’s decoration draws inspiration from Italian and European design, with a blend of wood, marble, and silk. In short, this is the perfect place for a romantic getaway or a family vacation with children.
