Rebecca Romijn

Rebecca Romijn has been a busy bee, working on creating unique pieces for popular magazines and catalogs while also working on her own line of swimsuits and lingerie. She has graced the pages of Vogue, Marie Claire, and other high-profile publications helping to create an image for the lingerie and swimsuit industries that is as unique as she is beautiful.

A Victoria’s Secret Angel

Romijn made her debut as a Victoria’s Secret angel in 2007, showcasing her beautiful figure in lacy lingerie and matching swimsuits for catalog and magazine spreads. It wasn’t long before Romijn became a mainstay as a VS angel, appearing in numerous campaigns and print ads, including for the Victoria’s Secret brand. Romijn is also the face of the Coveteau Beauté makeup line, helping to promote their products with her unique charm and stunning looks.

Creating Unique Pieces

In addition to being a Victoria’s Secret angel, Romijn has graced the pages of Vogue and other high-profile publications, helping to create unique pieces for catalogs and magazines. However, it was 2010 when Romijn truly broke out, appearing in a Diane Von Furstenberg ad campaign and later that year gracing the cover of Vogue, helping to kick off their bold new aesthetic. Later, in 2011, Romijn graced the cover of Elle Denmark as well, becoming one of the most recognizable faces in fashion today.

What’s next for Rebecca Romijn? In 2013, she launched a swimsuit line called JOVANI for Nordstrom, appearing in the retailer’s annual swimsuit calendar, as well as gracing the cover of their holiday catalog. Then, in 2014, Romijn introduced a collection of lingerie, swimsuits, and everyday wear called the Bikini Collection, which was met with great success.

Where does Rebecca Romijn find her inspiration? The 48-year-old fashion icon credits her success to her dedication to working hard and her passion for fashion. “I always say working hard and playing hard make up my work ethic, and that’s definitely been the case. I have always been driven to succeed, and working hard has always helped me get to where I want to be,” she said in a 2014 interview with Refinery29. “I credit my passion for fashion to my mother, who passed on her love of clothes to me. I always remember her wearing great-fitting floor-length dresses, and I would try and copy her. It wasn’t uncommon for me to wear her old dresses when I was a kid, and she would always be impressed when she saw me in them. She would always say, ‘You’re growing into a beautiful woman,’ and it really meant a lot to me. I still have a picture of me at age seven or eight, wearing one of her old dresses, and it still makes me laugh every time I look at it.”

Romijn’s dedication to fashion has led to her creating unique pieces for some of the most popular fashion magazines and outlets. She has worked with Victoria’s Secret, Nordstrom, and other high-profile brands to create exclusive looks for their sites and social media platforms. While fashion is a huge part of her work, so is philanthropy. Rebecca Romijn is a strong advocate for a variety of charitable organizations, participating in special projects and events to benefit others.

Making A Difference

As a fashion icon, it’s not surprising that Rebecca Romijn would want to make a difference in the world, especially since she was named one of the most inspiring women in the world by People magazine in 2015. However, it wasn’t until the following year, in 2016, that Romijn really put her inspirational words into action, creating an organization called Romijn Collective. The organization’s mission is to fight sex trafficking and the commercialization of women and girls.

Through the Romijn Collective, Romijn is hoping to inspire change in the fashion industry, as well as change in the way people think about buying lingerie and swimsuits. “We’re aiming to cut off supply by raising awareness,” she told Teen Vogue. “There’s a demand for these items, but it’s typically coupled with abuse, and we want to change that. We’re aiming to disrupt the demand side by changing how people think about buying lingerie and swimsuits. These are items that are typically associated with sexual abuse and slavery, but that’s simply not the case anymore.”

Rebecca Romijn is a powerful woman, and she’s one of the most recognizable faces in fashion today. Not only does she have a beautiful face, perfect figure, and a unique charm, but she is also making a difference in the world through her work with Romijn Collective and other charitable causes.
