Candice Michelle

Hello and welcome to my blog. My name is Candice Michelle and I am a full-time MBA student, working part-time, and studying part-time. During my studies, I am trying to build a strong foundation in marketing and analytics so that, when I graduate, I can quickly find a job in one of these industries. If you have any suggestions or tips on how I can optimize my studies so that I can enhance my job search, please feel free to leave me a comment below!

This blog post is going to cover a variety of topics from marketing and analytics from a MBA perspective. It will examine how digital marketing and analytics can play a crucial role in a brand’s success, how to effectively use measurement and analytics to inform your marketing decisions, and much more!

Why Marketing And Analytics?

Marketing and analytics are important because they can help determine a brand’s success or failure. The former is the marketing department’s responsibility, while the latter is the analysts’ responsibility. Analytics can be used to examine a variety of factors that could impact a business such as website traffic, customer engagement, and sales performance. The information gained from analytics can help inform marketing decisions and help businesses identify key performance indicators (KPIs). For example, if you see that your click-through rate (CTR) on social media is steadily decreasing, this could mean that your target audience has changed or that your strategy needs to be revised. Additionally, marketers and analysts can work together to integrate analytics into the marketing process. This integrated approach can help determine the effectiveness of a campaign or strategy on a mass level. As previously stated, marketers can use analytics to examine traffic to determine how people are interacting with a brand and what content is performing well. The findings from these analyses can be used to inform future marketing and content strategies.

The Difference (And Importance) Between Marketing And Digital Marketing

People often confuse marketing with marketing, which can be a source of some confusion. Marketing is the activity undertaken to reach potential customers with your products or services, which can include advertising, public relations, and sales. Traditional marketing involves marketers spending large sums of money airing commercials on television, placing ads in magazines and newspapers, and distributing flyers and pamphlets. However, with the rise of the digital marketing, businesses are able to avoid some of the costs associated with traditional marketing. For instance, social media platforms such as Twitter and LinkedIn allow businesses to distribute flyers and advertisements to a large audience without having to spend a lot of money on traditional print advertisements.

What Are The Main Focus Areas Of Candice’s MBA Studies?

When it comes to marketing and analytics, my MBA studies will cover a variety of topics, including marketing analytics (which incorporates marketing measurement, evaluation, and reporting), business analytics, and general marketing principles. The primary focus is on marketing analytics as this is a hot topic right now and a variety of employers are looking for skilled people with an analytics background. With more and more businesses operating online, measurement and analytics play a crucial role in ensuring that a business’s digital strategy is effective and that marketing dollars are being spent efficiently.

How Is Candice Studying Marketing And Analytics?

Luckily, I was able to secure a full-time position with a reputable marketing and analytics firm right after I graduated from university. I was given the responsibility of analyzing marketing data and developing marketing strategies for international clients. The job title was almost enough to make me change my mind about pursuing an MBA, but the benefits were worth it.

To prepare for my responsibilities at work, I decided to pursue an MBA online from the University of Leicester. Since graduating in May 2019, I have been working on several marketing projects for international clients. One of my latest projects involved examining the marketing strategies of a major hotel brand and developing a digital marketing strategy for the accommodation venue. This has given me the opportunity to dive into marketing analytics and perform various calculations, which has been invaluable. Working on these projects has also given me the chance to network with professionals from various industries, which has helped me better my own personal and professional network. Additionally, my job provides me with the opportunity to travel, something that I have really enjoyed.

What Did Candice Do Before Her University Studies?

Before I started my studies, I worked as an operations manager for a marketing agency. My job there involved ensuring that projects were on budget and met the agreed timeline. This was extremely important as businesses cannot operate efficiently if they are not aware of how their marketing activities are performing and if there are any issues, they need to be aware of them as soon as possible.

Additionally, I spent three years working as an editor for a law firm, where I worked on content such as briefs and memoranda as well as preparing transcripts for judges and delivering presentations at conferences. This experience will undoubtedly be useful to me as an MBA student as I will be expected to independently research issues, prepare reports, and draft academic papers. My role as an editor also provided me with the opportunity to network with professionals in a field that I am interested in pursuing.

What Does Candice’s Career Path Lie Ahead?

After my studies, I plan to work in marketing or analytics in a corporate setting. I will look for positions that are in line with my educational background and the skills that I have acquired during my studies. One of the main areas that I am interested in is marketing analytics, which I expect will become even more in-demand as businesses become more efficient and effective in utilizing digital marketing and analytics. Additionally, marketing analytics can be used to examine a wide variety of factors, including sales performance, website traffic, brand loyalty, and customer engagement, which makes it versatile enough for a versatile future career.
