Bianca Gascoigne

Bianca Gascoigne is a fashion stylist and lifestyle columnist, who is best known for her work with Elle and Vogue. She is also a contributing editor for both publications, as well as a judge for their annual fashion awards. Below, we speak with Gascoigne about her work and why she’s passionate about fashion.

Fashion Is A Lifestyle Choice

“Fashion is a form of art,” says Bianca Gascoigne. “It is a way of life, and it is a choice that you make every day. Regardless of whether you choose to go for traditional or chic looks, you are still making a style choice, and that is a form of art.”

This viewpoint is representative of Gascoigne’s approach to her work. Despite her obvious success, she remains committed to encouraging and encouraging fashion choice. “I love that there are so many different ways to express yourself through your clothes and accessories,” she says. “Whether you choose a trendy look or a more traditional one, you are still making a choice, and that is a form of art.”

A Stylist To Follow

As a fashion stylist, Gascoigne has worked with some of the biggest names in the industry, including Victoria Beckham and Miu Miu. She has also worked with renowned photographers such as Mario Testino and Inez VanLagewerende on covers for Vogue and iD. It’s been an incredible journey, but Gascoigne’s work has also been seen in the mainstream media, including The New York Times and The Wall Street Journal. Naturally, this makes her one of the industry’s most in-demand consultants. She’s worked with top brands, including Burberry, Diesel, Elle, Ralph Lauren, and many more.

Style Is In Our DNA

It could be said that Gascoigne’s style DNA can be found in her family. Her great-grandfather, Georges, was a prominent French fashion designer who co-founded the fashion house Lanvin. Her mother, Christine, is the current creative director of the house. In fact, both of Gascoigne’s parents are responsible for significantly expanding the Lanvin brand’s reach to the UK market. With this in mind, it’s no wonder that Gascoigne is so passionate about fashion.

At the age of 17, Gascoigne began working as an intern at Lanvin. Four years later, in 1991, she became an apprentice stylist, and in 1995, she founded her own company, Gascoigne Creative, with a small team of stylists. Since then, she has worked on campaigns for high-profile clients such as Victoria Beckham, Kate Middleton, and more. Not only is she passionate about fashion, but she also believes strongly in giving back to the community. She has dedicated an entire floor at her firm’s London office to an initiative she calls “Project Self-expression”. This is a place where children can come to draw and paint, and the work of these budding artists is then photographed and turned into a beautiful book to raise funds for cancer charities.

“I think it’s really important to have a neutral place where you can express yourself freely,” she says. “Fashion is something that is very close to my heart, as it represents freedom of choice, self-expression, and looking good. I would like to think that I have made a positive impact on the way young people feel about themselves and the way they express themselves through fashion.”
