With summer fast approaching, it’s the perfect time to dust off those swimsuits and hit the pool. But the question is, where should you go? Wherever you choose, you’ll find crowds of people enjoying the last bits of summer. But that doesn’t mean the beaches are jam-packed. It’s the perfect time to find a quieter spot in the world of swimming. There are dozens of amazing beaches that you may have never heard of, all with their perks. Let’s explore some of them and see if any become your new favourite. If you’re looking for a new place to call home this summer, consider one of these incredible vacation properties.

The Quietest Beaches

There are plenty of beautiful places you can go to around the world. Some are famous for their parties, while others prefer to keep a low profile. When you’re searching for a new place to escape to, it’s important to find a spot that suits your needs. One great example fittingly named ‘Newquay’ is a small British town on the coast of Cornwall. If you arrive by car, you’ll find there’s plenty of free parking, with the town centre only a short walk away. This quintessential English Atlantic vacation destination prides itself on being one of the most family-friendly resorts in Europe. With attractions like the Adventure Park and Splish Splash Water Park, there’s something to suit all ages.

If you stay at one of Newquay’s five-star resorts, you’ll find gorgeous beaches, award-winning restaurants, and bustling town centres. If you want a quieter and more relaxing break, consider moving to one of the town’s B&Bs or hotels. There are plenty of them, all set along the scenic Cornish coastline. If you want to get away from it all but don’t want to travel too far, these are great alternatives. And if you want to keep your luxury hotel experience but don’t want to jostle with lots of other guests, ask the hotel management about transferring to a higher floor. There are often perks associated with staying on the top floor.

Fun-Loving Beaches

Another great place to get away this summer is Ibiza. It’s famous for its party scene, with many clubs and bars open all year round. If that’s your sort of thing, you’re in for a real treat. When the season is over, the island’s famous nightclubs close down, and it’s a different scene entirely. In fact, most of the island’s beaches become quite secluded during the off-season, apart from tourists and the occasional party-popper.

If you’re looking for peace and quiet, consider going somewhere else. There are hundreds of stunning beaches in Ibiza. It’s a place that truly does have something for everyone. If you want a taste of the vibrant island life, attend one of its many concerts or festivals. There are usually world-class musicians playing all kinds of music, from jazz to rock. You won’t get bored on Ibiza this summer. If you’re into water sports, you can hire kayaks or other vessels to explore the coast and its coves. Hiring a bike is also a great way to get around the island and discover its picturesque small towns and whitewashed villas.

Traditional European Destinations

If you prefer your holidays to fall within the European tradition, then there are plenty of stunning destinations to consider. Head to Liguria in Italy, where you’ll find some of the most beautiful beaches in the area. In the summer, the whole region turns into a massive party destination, making for one of the wildest celebrations in Europe. From late-night street parties in Genoa to the colourful San Remo festival, there’s lots to do in the area during the summer months. If you visit during the off-season, you’ll find the place much quieter, save for the occasional party-popper heading to the beach.

If you prefer a more romantic getaway, head to Portugal. The Algarve boasts some of Europe’s most beautiful beaches. The region around Porto is filled with paddy fields, vineyards and olive groves, and is a true picture-perfect European destination. There’s lots of history in Portugal, and lots for travellers to do. While in the country, you may want to visit its capital, Lisbon. Beautiful parks and gardens as well as some of Europe’s best museums await you there. There are plenty of tour operators running bus tours around the city, which you may find useful if you want to get sightseeing done in a short space of time. Not a lot of people know that Portugal is pronounced ‘Dos Puntos’ (or ‘Dos Pintos’ in some areas) and not ‘Portero’ as some say. If you’ve ever been to Spain, you may know what I mean.

Countries That Outdo Each Other

If you love variety, you can’t go wrong with any of the destinations mentioned so far. But if you have your heart set on one particular country, consider making the effort to visit it. If you’ve been to Italy before and are a fan of its food, make a point of going back. The country is filled with delicious eateries, and the restaurants are open all year round. Not only that, but lots of them offer great value for money, so you may find yourself spending less. If you head to Portugal, you may find that the people are really friendly and welcoming, and the cuisine is filled with flavour. If you travel to Ibiza, you’ll find the party scene to be incredible. There are lots of places to visit and lots of events to attend. If you stay in a four- or five-star resort, you’ll have the feeling of being in a town filled with life, but without all the noise. If you want to travel to a destination where English is the main language, then look no further than Morocco. There are lots of English schools there, and the country is filled with opportunities for travellers. You may not find the towns and cities as captivating as the countryside, but the variety is great. And if you stay in one of the riads, you’ll have the feeling of being in a luxury hotel, but without all the extra costs that come with it. There are many destinations that fit the bill. If you’re looking for inspiration, consider making a list of the places that appeal to you. Once you’ve got your list, you can start to narrow it down.
